April 2018- I bought this pattern at QuiltCon 2016 in Pasadena, CA. I didn't know how to foundation paper piece at the timel but was so drawn to the geometric pattern I couldn't resist. After over two years of sitting in my drawer, a couple FPP classes, and the addition of a Moda Ombre Confetti bundle, I finally knew what to do with him! I had to fiddle with the fabric placements called for in the original pattern but am quite happy with the results! Head over to my blog to check out more details.

May 2018 - One of my goals this year was to push myself to learn new skills. Free-motion quilting including ruler work is on the list of skills I wanted to improve. This quilt pattern is the practice quilt for an Angela Walters Craftsy class called Dot to Dot Quilting. The original pattern called for the center hexagon to be fused but I whipped up a foundation paper block to use instead.
